Eyelash extensions

I've been in anorexia recovery for one month tomorrow, and as a celebration of my decision, a close family friend who's supported me through my worst, bought me a gift card which I used to go get eyelash extensions - a true treat that I haven't indulged in for 6 years. It was so kind of her. I'm still taken aback by her generosity and care. The gift card was a special kind that allowed me to choose from an array of beauty treatments, but I wanted to pick something I never do, to remind myself daily of the beauty that is recovery and its place in my life.

KATSEYE

My girlfriend and I have been obsessed with the song 'Pinky Up' by the KATSEYE K-pop group, not just for its catchiness, but also for the amazing makeup each of the beautiful members uses to suit their ethnicity and vibe. It's really inspired both of us to focus on eye makeup like the girls and to be bolder in our eye makeup routines. To do this, I focused on using both eyeliner and eyeshadow. I used eyeliner on the upper lid, and I used eyeshadow, applied with an eyeshadow brush, on the lower waterline. It turned out perfectly, dramatically, and daringly. I couldn’t be happier, Dolls!

Corsets

Wearing a corset may be a mindless task for some women, but for me when I wear one, it’s the only thing on my mind. My ED told me I couldn't wear something cut short or tight to show my figure because I'm not pretty enough. So I wore one to prove to myself and the world that I can wear whatever the fuck I want despite the discomfort, insecurity and fear I experience and you can too, Dolls because we can do it together.

Switching up is about many things, but mainly, it’s about pushing yourself outside your beauty comfort zone to create an opportunity to be more in every way.
