MY UPDATED BEAUTY ROUTINE

Dolls, you know I never keep a secret from you, and this one would be too perfect to keep. My beauty routine isn't something I'd consider elaborate, as it's best compartmentalised into three categories that I complete on separate occasions at various times of the day and week. It's certainly effective and something I've taken years to learn, becoming something I consider perfect for me, my complexion, my aesthetic, and my hygienic needs. Are you ready to become a part of my world, sweet Dolls?
Shower
I recently switched from my blonde, purple shampoo and conditioner because my hairstylist informed me that it was drying out my hair. I decided it was a worthy investment to purchase a brand she recommended, even if it was more on the pricy side. I always shampoo first and whilst my conditioner is sitting in my hair, to create the effect of a hydrating hair mask, I spend 5-10 minutes shaving using my vanilla and raspberry body wash that I've been obsessed with for years because of its insanely divine scent. It’s by Original Source Australia. After I rinse out my conditioner, I wash off all my remaining makeup with one pump of my Clarins Paris gentle renewing cleansing mousse face cleanser. It feels so refreshing, relaxing, and natural to wash my face beneath the pressure of the water, without the addition of excessive chemicals found in makeup removers.
Skincare
Luckily, I was blessed with very good skin, so my skincare routine isn't extensive in any way. It focuses on the only two things I suffer from, which are dry, cracked lips and dark circles beneath my eyes. Thankfully, I don't and have never suffered from acne or redness. My skincare routine is as follows:
I use the above cleanser daily to wash off my makeup,
Pure vaseline one to two times daily for my lips, and
The Sérum intensif éclaircissant eye brightening serum once-weekly by Clarins Paris.
Makeup
My makeup routine is very basic... If I do it properly, it takes me only 5-10 minutes. But I like it basic because I hate the caked face look on me, personally. My mindset is the embodiment of Audrey Hepburn or Grace Kelly - coverage, a bold eye or lip, and a gentle blush and/or bronzer.
I begin with a light coverage tinted moisturiser. I opt for this over a foundation as it prevents that caked-on look, and the application takes me two seconds as I simply rub it in with my hands, as opposed to using a foundation brush. I use the Natio mineral tinted moisturizer SPF 50+ shade 'golden' when I am paler, and the Summer Fridays sheer skin tint light coverage or arbonne soft focus veil for the months when I am more tanned. I am heavy on a solid base, so I continue with the development of mine by moving onto the bronzer and blush. I used to be a stickler for bronzer, but I have begun experimenting with the addition of blush, gently on my nose and my upper cheekbones. I use blush bronzing pearls in any shade. I do this step after applying my Chanel bronzer in three sections across my face: forehead, upper cheekbones, and jawline. If I do eyeshadow, I simply apply my bronzer onto an eyeshadow brush. I never felt very confident with eyeshadow experimentation, and I think it makes a look pop when the eyelid is fairly plain, yet artsitically defined from the usage of a heavy mascara and/or a non-winged eyeliner, which is my next step. The mascara I use is Dior, and the eyeliner I use is a liquid eyeliner in shade Ultra Black by Catrice.
And finally, I am a sucker for a bold red lip.
I have always adored it, no matter what hair colour or skin shade I've been. I think it's utterly timeless and implicitly divine. I use any bold red, but my favourites are Maybelline 385 RUBY FOR ME and Rouge Dior.
Dolls, it is always my pleasure to absolve myself of my beauty secrets for you. You are my everything.
Kisses,
