When people ask me if I'm a gold or a silver girl, I profess to being a firm golden girl. I love everything gold: watches, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. Considering this, I have learnt that it is rare to find pearls accompanying gold, as usually they are seen chained with silver. That is why I love how this particular necklace is a combination of gold and pearls, adding a layer of uniqueness to what is undoubtedly elegant. Dolls, you know that I love making a statement, and this does just the job!

This particular necklace has a special place in my heart as it belonged to my grandmother, whom I never had the pleasure of meeting. She was a classy, beautiful lady, and when I wear this, I feel like I am carrying on her legacy. I also feel closer to her, something I didn’t think would ever be a possibility, but through her jewels, is possible.

When I wear a golden set, I feel like a golden princess. There is really something so special about it, and I think what it is is that I feel like one of the Disney princesses who are rich and bathe in gold jewellery. It feels luxurious to bestow not one, but two gold items. It's over the top, for sure, but you know me, Dolls, I don't thrive on subtlety when it comes to beauty and fashion. What’s the point in being subtle about something when you can be oh-so-perfectly exuberant?

Dolls, I wanted to keep this blog post short and sweet, because whilst jewellery has a grand effect, I believe that there is an element of simplicity in how delicate and dainty it is when done well.
