Hi Shopaholics, it's me again, with another confession of the week! As a beauty and mental health blogger, I have developed some beauty hacks & secrets that I figure are simply too cute to keep to myself a moment longer! Here is everything you need to know and more...
Straightening my hair doesn't just make my hair straight, it also adds a shine to my hair and minimises all of my flyaway baby hairs. I appear more composed, pretty and poised every time I do it. My favourite thing about it is that once I've finished, it keeps its body for days to come, especially if I add a little bit of hairspray and avoid putting it up in a ponytail. I've found hair straightening to be a timeless keepsake, unlike curling irons or big voluminous hairdos that can give off a glam look, which isn't the best for those wanting to appear chic or be giving elegant off-the-radar. I'm certainly under the belief that it's criminal to be a beauty blogger and not have perfect hair. And thorough, frequent hair straightening dates with myself, Dolls, is how I keep myself out of jail.
For 2-3 years now, I've consistently gotten my nails done every 2-3 weeks. It's a whole ordeal. I scroll through Pinterest for days before my hour-long appointment to pick the exact look I want to give off for the upcoming period. I take into account the events in my calendar, what crowd of people I'll be spending the most time with, what blog category I need to feel in the mood for and what outfits I'm thinking of sharing online. I never get sick of it because
I feel as though my nails are a small opportunity to reflect everything it is to be a beauty blogger - fun, spontaneous and beautiful.
One thing about me, Dolls, is that my handbag is NEVER empty. I carry every one of my essentials in there at all times to cover myself. After all, it would be a sin to be a beauty blogger and get caught not looking like a beauty blogger. My number 1 essential beauty blogger tip is that I am never not carrying a wand of mascara and a tube of lip gloss on me. I'm simply obsessed with how these two sticks of beauty can transform any look, no matter how hungover, into one of sheer princess-esque in just moments. In my opinion, all a princess needs is some long lashes and plump pink lips. And you can't be a beauty blogger if you don't carry princess energy, prepared and ready for every and all occasions, Dolls.
Dolls, these are my longstanding obsessions that have rightfully made their way onto my fool-proof shortlist. Though ever-changing, seasonally and situationally, I do believe these to be my top 3 confessions concerning my favourite title of mine: Beauty Blogger.
All my love, hugs & kisses,
COS x
